Loved it, but it just stopped working

I use an iPod touch 5th generation when I need to use the UPS app and it used to work fluently on here. But then one day it just shows a black screen. I thought maybe I will just delete it and reinstall it and everything would be back to normal. Wrong. I did deleted it and reinstalled it and then the black screen came on again. My device is running the latest software so I dont know what is happening.
